Personal Life

I picked up hiking and camping in 2017 when I was an exchange student at the University of Oslo. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with spending time in nature. After moving to the United States, I continued exploring the outdoors in the NJ–NY area. I have visited places like Mount Tammany, Minnewaska, the Finger Lakes, and Bear Mountain, just to name a few. Whenever I travel for conferences or workshops outside the region, I make time to explore nature as well. These trips have taken me to incredible places like Olympic National Park and the Brecon Beacons in Wales. I celebrated my 30th birthday by doing a Vipassana meditation course in Fishkill, New York. Living in a cabin surrounded by animals, without internet or interaction with humans for almost two weeks, was a unique and rewarding experience.

I’m also an active member of General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC). I was the program director of a local women’s club in New Jersey and now a member of GFWC in Rhode Island. I’m deeply committed to community engagement and truly value being part of this vibrant local network, where I’ve had the privilege of connecting with a diverse and inspiring group of women.
